It took me a while to warm up to flickr as well, but now that I'm fully entrenched I can't live without giving them my $25/year for a pro account :) The real selling point was their integration with my Wordpress blog.

During a recent 8.5 month backpacking adventure across India and SouthEast Asia, I tried to upload photos and write blog entries every week or two and with precious little Internet time and slow connections, the last thing I wanted to do was upload my pics to both flickr AND my blog. With these awesome plugins, as the OP linked to, I could just upload them to flickr and then a few clicks later have a single pic or the whole album show up in my blog. Only bummer, my app of choice doesn't work with new wordpress versions! :O

Anyway, that's all I have to say about that.

Well I've been using it before it's acquired by Yahoo til today, been stuck with it.

One thing I like is the unlimited bandwidth which also applies to free account as well so don't need to worry bout those annoying "Bandwidth Limit Exceeded" image like PhotoBucket does.

I do hope if they can sort own's pics based on camera models, as some may took pics more than a single gadget.

Well everybody has their priorities.

As John says here http://human3rror.com/migrating-21k-pictures-and-videos-from-flickr-to-picasa/

My mom can use picasa!

I use both though. It is indeed a difficult choice to make.
